Custom Visor Chroming - Resin

Do you have a resin printed visor and want to it to get the same mirror finish that our visors get? Then this listing is for you. We are able to work with almost any clear resin printed AND SANDED visor. We do not do the sanding and smoothing part. This is a very similar process to our vac formed visors, but your prep is a little different.
 
A resin print is never perfect. For the best clarity, you must wet sand it smooth starting with 220 grit sand paper. 400, 800, 1000, 2000 and 3000 grits. Both sides must be sanded perfectly smooth. Any visor details must be on the inside since this is where we spray our chrome. The outside usually looks best with little to no detail and is smooth. After it has been sanded with 3000 grit, spray water on both sides and look through it. If you can see through with perfect clarity, it is ready. If you still see lines or scratches, keep sanding. Chrome will make every imperfection show up, so don't be lazy with this.
 
We can work with visors that have already been tinted, or you can send us one that is completely clear and we can make it any of our standard colors. Pre tinting before chrome can be a bit of a guess as to what the final will look like. 
 
For best results, please leave a little extra material around the edges that will be covered up once installed in your helmet. The edges do not usually come out perfect, so plan for them to be covered. Do not apply a clear coat of your own. We use one that is designed to work with our chroming process, and do not want to have compatibility issues.

We usually make visors every other month. To keep the cost down, we will work these into our batches of visors. We will let you know when we plan to do the next batch of visors. The inside of the visor gets chrome plated and then the outside will get the desired final color applied. We use automotive paints, so the finish is pretty durable.
 
Select the size visor that yours is (we will tell you when you message us) and then select the color you would like us to make it. Most visors will be a regular size. Small would be Very small like Hayabusa. The large would be an EVA or similar style. Medium would be larger than a standard size, but not quite as large as the EVA.
